Created to represent sympathetic harmony with its counterpart in this set, this large pendant is designed with a receptive form in mind. The cool blue melds into the fields of yellow and gives the sense of union. In keeping, this pendant is also finished with a fine frost on the back and delivered with the wide silk sash. This piece named to represent itself with the other in the set is called “Affinity”
Whether you wish to be enveloped in the sense of the ethereal by wearing both pieces in this set, or chose to wear this pendant alone designed as kin to the earrings, you can experience the magic of having the balanced contrast of the night that holds the light. This display of black silk, silver and evanescent color gives a hint of mystery and depth. This is the “Aurora” pendant
To complete this themed glass pendant and earring set in our fire collection we have created "Cinder". The slender design matched with horizontal line work created using stringer glass provides primal yet clear intimations of the purposeful use of fire. This piece is polished to look like volcanic glass on the back and is furnished with a thin silk sash.
As the first in a collection of five this pendant is dedicated to the element of water. Hand formed glass is fused in a bed of clear iridescence and overlayed with unreacted steel blue and pink. This piece calls up the feeling of grace and symbolizes the power of consistency. Offered with a wide silk sash and finely rolled sterling silver bail this perfectly polished piece is named “Current”.
Continuing the concise minimalism of the Air collection, we have worked with color value and a dichromatic scheme to embrace the vastness of a giant sky above. The subtle frost finish gives the hint of a misty expanse and being in the clouds, while contrast is provided by the more stark alternating lines held in the image cirrus clouds. This is the “Daydream” pendant.
Based on an elevated industrial feel this pendant backed in glittering pink is full fused with a doubled surface reaction. The center of this piece reveals an unreacted layer beneath the steel and gives a noticeable depth and rich blue color nested within. The piece is wholly reminiscent of twilight on a glorious city bay and so is named “Evenfalls Loch”
An enchanting abstract of late summers ambient glow. With the sun fading from the day and with a sense of wonder in your soul you head through lustrous green fields and into the eerie silhouettes of the trees for a walk in the “Evening forest”
To complete this “Fire and Ice” pendant and earring set we have used a glass tacking technique to represent the texture of fire. This piece also shows itself to be an opposite reference to the piece “Cinder” in another set. Here we have designed a compliment to the earrings that asserts a linear style to the image of a flame. This pendant is delivered with both a white and a black silk sash in order to fit the mood or dress of the wearer.
This square pendant uses the optical illusion of convex projection. Designed to draw the eye through space, the glass recalls visions of a fading suns heat shimmer over the ocean. A precise reaction can be seen captured between the proportioned bands of color providing even further depth to the piece. Take a deep breath and remember the “Horizon”
In this last set for our Fire element collection, we have designed two large pendants. This time we have used a full fuse technique with a sulfur reaction and a subtle cooling blue between yellow fields of melted glass. To enhance the tactile experience of this pendant we have designed it with a fine frost finish on the back. This piece named in sympathy to the other in this set of two and is called “Perpetuation”
Aimed at capturing a memorable day at the beach this piece is created through multiple glass firings. Both texture and surface reactions are used to create the spectrum of moods one can find spending a long day on the water’s edge. Finished with a splash of fun the sterling silver bail has a twist and is fit with our white silk sash. Take a deep breath and enjoy “Sand and Sea”
The architectural form of a “Silver Field” leading to a slender bail Creates the feeling of an exotic expanse falling into a luminous backdrop of high set even clouds from a plane of expressive color. Set in a vanilla base, the organic flowing edges and rough frost finish on the back give an undeniable sensation of the Earth element.
